When my old friend reached the age of 90, he was hospitalized for diabetes and had one of his legs amputated. I heard that, when he came out from under the anesthesia, he said, "What happened to my leg?" I felt what a terrible disease diabetes is.
I hoped I did not become diabetic. However, at around 70 years old, my blood sugar levels went up to around 140, while the normal levels should be 70-110. I was also told that I was diabetic and began to take ACT#30mg. It has never been effective and once in a while the level went up to 150. I changed to ACT#450 and tried to walk, and to avoid polished rice and mainly ate unpolished rice and barley. Still the levels hardly came down.
Last year, I began to Prozon-GL Plus every morning regularly at a certain fixed time. The blood sugar levels came down from 146 to 126. Until that time, I had pain at my ankles and used to use a cane. However, gradually I could get rid of the cane and became able to sit straight. How wonderful the normal days are! The words in a frame at the office of my doctor are, "While you live, live lively." I always remember this phrase.
