I am a shiatsu therapist, but my knowledge of medicine is limited to what I learned 30 years ago, so it is a bit behind the times. These days there are more pathogens appearing than before that I've never even heard of, not to mention many new methods of disinfection besides the alcohol I learned about. Using alcohol might not even be the best option in certain situations!
Of course, the same goes for medicine. If you take medicine when you catch a cold, won't the germs just grow stronger? I'm not a doctor, but I have fought illness mainly through alternative medicine (Oriental medicine) and health foods. At the one of the Elders seminars, Dr. Suzuki emphasized the importance of taking care of your health especially between the ages of 40 and 60. These are the ages when you are busiest raising your children. If you can make sure your children grow up healthy, you can help them avoid becoming obese, acquiring behavior problems, and getting all the illness that accompanies everyday life.
It is hard to communicate this to people, however. Around this time last year, my husband suffered from two weeks of continuous headaches, which became very bad sometimes. Shiatsu, warming, cooling - nothing helped. I suspect he was suffering from overexposure to electromagnetic waves, a side effect of working as a pilot for 45 years.
I don't deny the effectiveness of Western medicine, mainly because some of the test results are very fast. I made my husband go to the hospital, but they didn't find anything. The headaches continued.
It's hard for him to improve his physical condition, especially because he is of German descent and he can't overcome the meat-heavy eating habits he got from his parents. This was also a problem for me, because he felt like his body was a solid mass of heavy metal. However, once he started taking Elders Chitin Chitosan SS once in the morning and once in the evening every day, he said his condition immediately began to improve together with his spirits, and eventually even he realized that it was all thanks to the Chitosan.
One person in Issue 27 of "New Information" wrote about how expensive the products are, but just like wearing nice clothes isn't free, you've got to pay to stay healthy. That"s why you have to work hard and start saving when you are young.
Of course, the best way would be to start thinking about these things before you are confronted with them, but I am in complete agreement with Dr. Suzuki when he says that he makes good products that he wants people to use who truly understand them. The same goes for shiatsu - only people who truly understand it should use it.
Matthew 7:6 - "Do not give what is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."
The Bible does indeed have much to teach us.
I'm looking forward to the day we can meet again.
