No.66 : My Husband Was Suddenly Diagnosed as Having Rectal Cancer (March 2002)

My husband is now 42 years old, so-called a critical age in Japan. He suffered from bloody fluxes and at the same time from serious hernia of an intervertebral disk last year. He has never experienced constipation since he was born, and rather had usually loose feces.


Time has passed while he was busy in examinations of the hernia, and his doctor recommended him to undergo an operation of the hernia. As a result of a simple endoscope examination of the rectum that he received for caution's sake, a polyp was found at 10 centimeters from the anus. Upon the preliminary test of the epidermal tissue, the doctor found that there were already cancerous cells. Later he received the total endoscope examination of the rectal area and was operated to extract the polyp mucous membrane

(Polypectmy Colonoscope). The cancerous cells were already in the inside of the mushroom-shaped polyp. Hearing the recommendation of the doctor for him to undergo an operation to extract the rectum as soon as possible, I almost fainted.


Since I have two daughters of two and four, the few weeks until the finding of the cancer of my husband was literally the period when I was strongly being hit at the head with a hammer. I know that all the human beings cannot escape from the death. However, when I thought why this happened at this juncture of our life, it was hard to see my children with lovely smiles running around like puppies.


However, crying does not solve anything. Since then I read every kind of books on cancers (especially of rectal) both in English and in Japanese. I also checked Internet to find the information concerning the supplementary treatments after the operation such as "chemotherapy" or anti-cancer drugs and radiotherapy. I had a friend who took anti-cancer drugs and radiotherapy for her breast cancer. She advised me by saying, "Doctors tells you only superficial side effects," and "When some symptoms appear, they deceive you by saying that it is a side effect."


My husband had only one polyp, and the cancer permeated deep into the polyp. Thus, I concluded that the polyp became cancerous due to alcohols that my husband liked, and I also concluded that anti-cancer drugs and radiotherapy only strike already weakened immune mechanism, and end with the opposite result. As the result, my husband decided to take the natural therapy in order to strengthen the immunity.


He underwent the operation of extracting 20 centimeters of the rectum and lymphatic vessel around it at the end of July. He was discharged from the hospital only in four days, or in the shortest period on record. My husband took a large volume of M10-8 (Doctor's Program Formula) and literally gulped Paud'arco / Agaricus Tea since before the operation. He stopped eating meat (including chicken meat) completely, and ate a lot of organic vegetables and fruits. He stopped drinking his favorite alcohols and took supplements of anti-oxidant materials in large quantity under the guidance of Dr. Suzuki. He refused the supplementary treatments (anti-cancer drugs and radiotherapy). At the scan examination he received four months after the operation, the doctors found that there was no sign of its relapse. At the endoscope examination six months after the operation, they found that the scars of the operation were so completely cured that they were surprised.


Almost one year has passed since he became ill. We can never relax our attention yet. However, I have learned two lessons from the experience of this big incident. "Not the doctor but you have to defend (cure) your body," but "it is a mistake to think that you live by yourself. You are made to live." I am very grateful to Dr. Suzuki and friends of mine who gave us the guidance on the diet and other advices. Because of these people, he could decide not to use supplementary treatments such as chemotherapy (anti-cancer drugs), but to use chitosan and other supplements like M10-8 (D.P.) and (S.S.). I am also grateful to God who gave me a chance to think again about the health of not only my husband but also of all of my family.
